Earliest ripening habanero type. Primero Red is one of the earliest ripening habanero type with fruit ready as early as bell peppers. Large 2.5-3.5" fruit have about 1/3rd the heat of standard habaneros. Great flavour for fresh salsas and cooking. This field production pepper is also ideal for containers. Maturity from transplanting is 60-65 days to green, 75-80 days to ripe. Averages 50,000 SHU.
